《蜗居》中的海藻是一个生活在现代都市中迷途羔羊。她的形象真实地表现了漂浮在现代都市中为了追求梦想而痛苦挣扎的脆弱灵魂的呼喊。海藻是一个在梦想和现实中迷惘无助的女性知识分子形象的典型。她美丽、聪慧、任性、真诚,但却在物质世界中被现实挤压得面目全非。她的悲剧命运为我们展现了现代都市中作为弱势群体的大学毕业生,无力掌握自身命运被迫屈服的生存状态,在现实的漩涡中难以控制贪欲所带来的致命诱惑,以及梦想被毁灭后的精神迷失。
The important character Haizao in the novel Dwelling Narrowness is a fragile woman living in the modem city. She is a representative of a fragile soul floating in the modern city to pursuit a dream. She is a typical helpless female intellec- tual. Although she is beautiful, smart, wayward and sincere, but she lost herself in the material world under the pressure of poverty. Her tragic fate shows us the survival condition of university graduates who are unable to take control of their own desti- ny and to get rid of deadly attraction from greedy material wants and they had become mental disorientation after the destruction of their dreams.
