摘要
把具有各向异性的耦合棱镜和具有电光效应的晶体材料引入到双面金属包覆波导结构中,让两种偏振态的TE和TM以相同的入射角入射,实现不同偏振光束的空间分离;同时通过电控改变波导的参数,进而实现输出光束偏振态的调谐。
In this paper, a novel kind of electro- controling polarization selector based on symmetrical metal cladding waveguide (SMCW)configurations is proposed Bi-refi-in.gent material is utilized as the coupling layer of the SMCW, and hence the guide mode resonance will not be simutlaneously excited by TE and TM polar- izations when it is incidented at the same incident angle,as a result, the two orthogonally polarized beams are spatially separated. Moreover, by introducing electro-optic material into the guiding layer of the SMCW, the resonance condition of the guiding mode is dramatically changed due to electrical modulation of the guiding layer parameters, which can realize the tunable polarization beam.
