摘要
从广州图书馆的对外文化交流实践出发,阐述了图书馆在国家公共外交活动中所占有的地位和作用,指出图书馆特别是有对外交往能力的城市公共图书馆应该积极走出国门,担负起与国际社会沟通的责任,为中华文化的传播和国家形象的塑造发挥作用。
Based on the cultural exchange practices conducted by Guangzhou Library,this thesis is aimed at expounding the role a library plays in the process of public diplomatic activities.It puts forward that a library,especially a city public library bearing the function of external exchange,should step up to its responsibility of international communication in a positive manner,so as to carry forward Chinese culture and facilitate the shaping of national image.
