摘要
李约瑟准确地概括了中西文明分水岭出现的现象,但令李约瑟百思不得其解。学术界也出现许多解谜文章,而答案莫衷一是,原因是未能从中西文明的大视野中进行比较探讨。由此,从中西文明的大视野中来比较探讨李约瑟难题的文化学原因:轴心时代中西文明难分高低;中华文明崛起的原因是"统一";西方文明崛起的原因是"契约"。
Needham accurately summarized the diversion of the Chinese and western civilization ,which puzzles Needham as well as Chinese academy with different answers, the reason is that it is not compared from the big view of western and Chinese civili- zations. From the big view of western and Chinese civilizations, Joseph Needham puzzle has some cultural reasons. Namely, in axis era, neither Chinese civilizations nor western one could prevail the other. Unity was the reason of Chinese civilization while contract was that of western civilization.
