摘要
译者的翻译策略往往会导致差额翻译,而翻译差额对英文小说的文学审美价值存在一定影响,本文通过个案的宗教内容差额翻译量化分析,从现象学视角探讨了翻译差额的大小对英文小说译文审美价值的不同影响,即其对读者审美期待的影响。找出了差额翻译是如何影响英文小说的审美价值的规律,描绘出其认知图式。
Undertranslation usually results from translators＂ translation methods. In consequence, it exerts some influences on target readers＂ appreciation of English novels＂ aesthetic value. This paper exploits the corresponding aesthetic value loss against under - translated portion by full - scale quantitative analysis on religious terms in ＂Uncle Tomg Cabin＂ , finding the rule of how undertranslation affects target readers to appreciate English novels＂ aesthetic value, and then depicts its cognitive map.
