摘要
语言与性别是社会语言学的一个重大研究领域。由于生理、社会、文化等因素的影响,在许多方面女性语言与男性语言呈现出不同的语言特征。本文选取热播美剧《绝望主妇》中的部分台词,以莱考夫的著作《语言与女性的地位》为理论依托对剧中台词进行女性话语分析,解析女性话语表达的独特方式,加深对语言性别差异的了解进而减少日常交际障碍。
Language and gender is an important research area within the domain of sociolinguistics. Women＇s language is differ- ent from the male＇s language in many aspects owing to the biological, social and cultural factors. Based on the famous academic book Language and Woman＇s Place written by Robin Lakoff, this term paper employs some lines selected from the popular American tele- vision comedy-drama mystery Desperate Housewives to analyze the special expressing style of women＇s language. Having a better understanding of the women＇ s language can cut down the obstacle in the road of the daily communication.
