摘要
近年来 ,越来越多的GSM网络运营商引入移动数据业务 ,不仅使GSM网络实现了无线互联网功能 ,而且积累了无线多媒体业务的运营经验 ,为向第三代移动通信网络的过渡做好准备。GSM移动数据业务主要分为电路型数据业务和分组型数据业务 ,Phase2 +阶段提出的GPRS属于分组型数据业务。从移动数据业务的提供方式出发 ,文章着重介绍了GPRS的系统组成、GPRS网络工作原理 ,分析了GPRS提供业务的类型及特点 ,并列举了GPRS的应用。
Universal Mobile Telecommunications System is European standard for 3G mobile communications system. The overview of UMTS including its architecture, the services provided, the functions of UMTS access network and the core network and the network security features are introduced in this paper. Finally the author proposes that Chinese 3G mobile communications architecture should adopt UMTS network architecture. Based on that and the concrete conditions of China to build the advanced 3G mobile communications system in China.
