On January 15th,2010,Pema Triling,born in Tengchen County of Chamdo to the east of Tibet Autonomous Region,was decisively elected to be the governor of Tibet Autonomous Region during the third session of the ninth plenary conference of the People’s Congress of Tibet Autonomous Region.During his six-minute inauguration speech he said,"I have boldly and positively undertaken responsibility and accountability for the task of maintaining the unity of all ethnic groups and the stability of Tibet."
