摘要
丁文江的政治倾向主要形成于其在英国留学期间。鼓励国人谈政治和干预社会政治,强调"少数人的责任"的精英政治理念,主张温和渐进的社会改造方式是其政治思想的主要表现。纵观丁文江的政治思想与实践有三个特点值得关注:一是其言行充分体现了自由主义的政治理念,二是其政治主张和政治实践都围绕着国家和民族的利益展开,三是自由主义者的政治理念无法适应近代中国情势,导致其政治抱负无法实现。研究丁文江的政治思想有助于了解自由主义知识分子群体及其理念在近代中国的命运。
Ding Wenjiang＇s political thinking was shaped when he studied in Britain. Ding advocated involvement in political affairs, political elitism and a mild step-by-step approach to social reform, This article points out three distinct features of Ding＇ s political thinking and activities： political liberalism, strong nationalism and the misfit in the historical context of modern China, which leads to the failure of his political ambitions. The current study gives a glimpse of Chinese liberalist intellectuals and the destiny of their thinking in modern China.
