摘要
语用研究表明,科技英语近义并列词语若侧重语用同一性,并列前、后词的语义表现为线性重复与加强,则用合译;若侧重语用非同一性,并列词语前、后词的语义表现为差异激活与细分,则用分译。语用指向是科技英语近义并列词语合译和分译的理据。
Research into synonym juxtaposition words in view of pragmatics in EST shows that if synonym juxtaposition stresses similarities they reveal meaning identicalness,and that if synonym juxtaposition emphasizes dissimilarities,they disclose semantic differentiations,which thus forms the pragmatic basis of combining and splitting translation strategies for EST.
