摘要
Whiffletree结构被广泛地应用在大口径望远镜主镜的底支撑中,但是目前在侧支撑中还没有采用Whiffletree结构的例子。首先探讨了在非薄弯月镜主镜中,采用Whiffletree结构进行侧支撑原理和方法,并结合一个实例,对Whiffletree侧支撑进行计算和设计,然后使用有限元软件MSC.Patran/Nastran进行了分析,最后得到镜面变形的RMS值为1.46nm,低于/40,证实该方案的可行性。
Whiffletree support structures were widely applied to the axial supports on large primary mirrors.But there was no example that whiffletree support structures were used for lateral supports.The whiffletree lateral supports were adapted to thick mirror other than thin meniscus mirror.The theory and method of whiffletree were discussed in detail.Based on a primary mirror with a diameter of 1.23 m,a kind of whiffletree lateral support was designed and calculated.Analyzed with the finite element analysis software MSC.Patran/Nastran,RMS of the mirror was 1.46 nm,which was less than /40 and it proved that the design was feasible.
