摘要
严修认为种族歧视终将消失,儒家、佛教、耶稣教,都不是完美的思想体系,应该互相学习,共同进步。严修具有相当高的思想境界,主张教育救国,学习欧美的先进思想,先进经验,创办了以南开大学为代表的众多的教育机构,培养了以周恩来、梅贻琦、陈省身为代表的一代精英,成就辉煌,贡献卓越。
Yan Xiu thought that the racial discrimination would eventually disappear.Confucianism,Buddhism,Christianity are not perfect system of thoughts.They should learn from each other and make common progress.He had a very high realm of thought and advocated education to learn advanced ideas and experience from Europe and America.He set up many educational institutions,represented by Nankai University.Nankai fostered many elites,such as Zhou Enlai,Mei Yiqi and Chen Shengshen,and made great achievements and outstanding contributions.
