嘉兴蚕桑文化的形成有着其得天独厚的条件,湿润的气候、畅通的水系为蚕桑业提供了保障,也促进了蚕桑经济和文化的空前繁荣;古老的神话传说及祭祀蚕神的历史文化遗存,表征着蚕桑文化的悠久与丰富。嘉兴蚕桑文化最鲜明的特点是历史性、自发性、地域性、多元性和传承性。
The formation of Jiaxing silkworm culture is attributable to its unique advantages. Humid climateand smooth river system provide guarantee for silkworm industry, and promote unpreceaentea prosperity of silkworm economy and culture; ancient fairy tales and historical and cultural legacy for worship of Silkworm God indicate that silkworm culture has long history and rich connotation. The most distinguishing characteristics of Jiaxing silkworm are related to history, spontaneity, region, diversity and heritability.
