摘要
时间和空间因素是普通语言学的基本概念,也是一个复杂的问题。本文试图通过真实语料在英语语言教育层面上对此进行阐述,以提供一种方法论的借鉴。时间因素的讨论以语义变化类型为依据,空间因素的说明则以英语中的借词、英国英语、美国英语为论据。
Time and space factors are complicated issues as well as fundamental concepts of general linguistics.This paper intends to show how to illustrate these issues in language education with the aim to provide a model.The time factor is discussed in terms of modes of semantic change while the space factor is elucidated with reference to specific cases of load words,British English,and American English.
