党的十六大的胜利召开,为中国今后五十年的发展描绘了鼓舞人心的蓝图,全面建设小康社会,开创了中国特色社会主义的新局面。小康体育是小康社会背景下的体育。深化学校体育改革应以建设小康体育为导向、把树立健康素质的指导思想作为新时期我国学校体育工作的重要方针、加大学校体育与健康课程体系改革的力度、牢固树立终身体育的思想、继续坚持面向全体学生开展学校体育工作。
