The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of lactobacillus fermentum on growth performance of F1 reciprocal hybrids of cyprinus carpio(haematopterus)with cyprinus carpio var.Respectively 600 F1 hybrid with an average weight of(8.25±0.15) g were randomly divided into 10 groups with 3 replicates per groups and 40 fish per replicates in a circulated filtered rearing system for 56 d at 27.5~28.0 ℃,which the fed diets containing 0(control group A01,A02),2×108 cfu/kg(group A11,A12),4×108 cfu/kg(group A21,A22),6×108 cfu/kg(group A31,A32)and 8×108 cfu/kg(group A41,A42) lactobacillus fermentum, respectively. The results showed that the final body weight, weight gain ratio and specific growth ratio in lactobacillus fermentum supplementation groups were significantly higher and feed conversion rate lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Terminal body weight, weight gain ratio, specific growth ratio increased to the maximum value of 6×108 cfu/kg dietary lactobacillus fermentum level, then decreased with the increasing level of lactobacillus fermentum.Based on the parabolic model between terminal body weight, weight gain rate, specific growth rate and feed conversion ratio on growth performance, the right dietary lactobacillus fermentum requirement for F1 reciprocal hybrids were estimated to be(5.8~6.0)×108 cfu/kg.
