摘要
《天黑前的夏天》是英国当代最伟大的小说家多丽丝.莱辛发表于1973年的新作。这部小说以一贯的女性视角观察、体味、想象与表达,刻写了一位中年女子在某个夏日来临之时,突然打破常规,走出规范生活的情感变化和心理体验,细致入微地刻画出女性内心关于婚姻、自我、年华和性的困惑与迷茫。本文试图从精神分析的角度,结合多丽丝.莱辛的观点和主张,通过对小说中被忽视、被压抑的女主人公凯特的梦境的解析,从而反映出在当今男权仍占主导地位的社会中妇女渴望并且努力重新认识自我、重新审视婚姻的问题。
The new work the Summer Before the Dark was published in 1973 by Doris Lessing,who is the greatest contemporary British novelist.In this novel,the writer observed,appreciated,imagined and expressed from a consistent female perspective and characterized the emotional changes and psychological experience of a middle-aged woman,who suddenly broke the routine and got out of the standard life when the summer was coming.In addition,the heroine＇s inner confusion and bewilderment on marrige,self,time and sex were depicted meticulously.Combined the point of view of psychoanalysis with Doris Lessing＇s views and opinions,this paper reflects that nowadays women are eager and make effort to redefine themselves and to reexamine the marriage problems through the analysis of the dreams of Kate— the ignored and repressed heroine of the novel.
