摘要
电子图书的出现改变了人们阅读传统纸质图书上的习惯,并成为了读者阅读的首选。作为图书馆馆藏资源的重要组成部分,电子图书免费借阅是必然趋势。电子图书对传统意义上的图书馆将产生深远的影响,对图书馆的用户、图书馆的工作方式以及未来出版物带来革命性的冲击。可以预测的是,在未来相当长一段时间,图书馆的发展会是纸质书籍与电子图书相结合的模式,二者相辅相成,有机结合成一个提供公共信息服务的综合体。
Electronic books have changed people＇s habit of reading paper books and become the readers＇ first alternative. They, as a crucial part of library collections, inevitably, tend to be freely available and will have profound impact on the library users, working styles and future publications, bringing tremendous changes to the traditional libraries. It can be predicted that both paper and electronic books, as public information service, will co-exist in the library, complementary to each other, for a long time to come.
