摘要
20世纪80年代出现的文化唯物主义莎评不仅关注莎士比亚剧本,而且也把莎士比亚置于当代文化行业中进行研究。而其代表人物辛菲尔德正是通过对莎士比亚教学的批判,说明了莎士比亚文本所具有的政治功能。在辛菲尔德看来,莎士比亚在教学中发挥着意识形态的作用,莎士比亚成了保守意识形态的传声筒,这种政治的批评是文化唯物主义莎评的重要特征。
Cultural materialist Shakespeare criticism came into its own in the 1980s, it not only concerns Shakespeare plays, but also studies Shakespeare text in modern cultural industry. As one of the representatives of cultural materialist Shakespeare criticism, Sinfield explains the political function of Shakespeare text through criticizing Shakespeare teaching. In Sinfield＇ s view, Shakespeare functions as a kind of ideology and becomes a kind of megaphone of conservative ideology. This kind of political criticism is the most important feature of cultural materialist Shakespeare criticism.
