摘要
流水线技术的出现改变了计算机传统的顺序执行模式,通过指令的重叠执行,提高了指令执行的并行性,极大地提高了计算机系统的性能。针对微处理器流水线设计中的一些难点,通过分析流水线性能,给出了流水线设计中需要考虑的两个关键技术:流水线最佳级数的选取方法和流水线的划分,并简要介绍了时钟分配问题。
The pipeline processing has changed the sequential pattern of the computer, through the overlap execution of the instructions, improves the instruction parallelism, has greatly improved the performance of a computer system. Aiming at the difficulties in the pipeline designing for the microproces- sor, and through the analysis of the pipeline performance, This paper presents two key techniques which should be considered in the pipeline design: the method of selecting for the best pipeline stage and pipeline division ,and briefly introduces the problem of clock allocation.
