摘要
专门用途英语(ESP)教学被认为是中国大学英语今后发展的方向之一,而作为其中一个重要分支,职业英语(EPP)旨在培养具备扎实的专业知识和英语技能的复合型国际化人才。本文首先介绍我校从2010年秋季开始实行的大学英语试验班EPP班,分析学生的课程要求,重点介绍其中学术英语写作课程的教学方法和评价手段,分析其存在的问题,探讨可行性解决措施。
ESP （ English for Specific Purposes） teaching is considered as one of new trends of college English teaching. As an important branch, EPP （English for Professional Purposes） aims for cultivating international compound talents excelling in both English and professional knowledge. This paper introduces the experimental class EPP （all major in geology discipline） beginning from the year 2010 in China University of Geosciences, then analyzes students＇ need for course, and emphasizes the teaching method and assessing method of its academic English writing curriculum. However, since such curriculum is still under an exploratory stage, three main problems need to be concerned and relevant feasible suggestions are discussed here.
