摘要
通过一百多年前到伊犁考察、访问的几个外国人(拉德洛夫、马达汉和日野强)留下的笔记和日记,可以从另一个侧面对伊犁当时的边防守备情况、经济贸易状况,以及城市建设、交通、宗教、教育、民俗、民族关系等等方面有所了解。他们的见闻,尽管难免囿于偏见、先入为主、失之偏颇之处,但是可以弥补国人有关著作的阙失与粗疏。重温百年前伊犁的历史,有助于我们更多地了解伊犁,激发起我们建设更加美好的未来的信心。
Visiting Yili a hundred years ago, several foreigners （Ladd Loftus, Materhan and Riyeqiang） left their notes and diaries which can make us gain some understanding economy and trade, as well as the city construction, transportation, education, folk, ethnic relations and so on from the other side of the frontier defense situation in Yili at that time. What they saw and heard are limited, but these can make up for the lack of related works and carelessness. Review of the history of Yili one hundred years ago helps us know more about Yili, inspires us to build a better confidence to the future.
