在东亚国家,"外国(人)"这个词具有比较复杂的含义。分析两篇小说《蚝痴》《新加坡人》,可以看到对待外国人两种不同的态度。《蚝痴》以东方和西方简单的二元对立为其基本思想框架,而在其中,东方内部他者的声音是很难听得到的。但是在《新加坡人》中,作家将很多他者的声音以很陌生的方式直接表现在文本中,以此保持他们的"他者性"。所有东方他者的声音都被还原为中华的声音的时候,我们内部的及周围的他者会失去他们自己的名字。"京子"叫什么名字?
The term ＇foreigner＇ has a very complicated meaning,especially in East Asian countries.The author of this paper analyzes two medium-length stories——Oyster Maniac and A Singaporean——to show two quite different ways of representing ＇the foreign＇ or ＇foreigner＇.Oyster Maniac is based on the relatively simple dualism of the West and the East,under which the voices of the others INSIDE the East are hardly heard.On the other hand,in A Singaporean,various others make their own voices represented and heard,thereby keeping their ＇Otherness＇ intact.When the various and complicated cultures of East Asia are reduced to the monotone of the ＇Great China＇,the foreigners inside and around us loose their names.What is ＂京子＂＇s name？
