TFM and DEM Numerical Simulation of Bubbling Fluidized Bed With Uniform Gas Inlet

摘要 分别运用双流体模型(TFM)及离散元模型(DEM)的软球模型,模拟了二维及三维实验尺度的均匀入口鼓泡流化床内的气固两相流动特性,其中TFM模型结合了气相κ-ε湍流模型,而DEM模型则结合气相κ-ε湍流模型或Smagorinsky亚网格涡黏模型(SGS)。通过对比本文模拟结果与他人实验及计算结果发现,TFM与DEM软球模型都能模拟出鼓泡流化床的特征流态,但DEM软球模型优于TFM模型,且采用不同湍流模型对计算结果影响不大,三维的模拟结果比二维的模拟结果更接近实验数据。 The two-fluid model (TFM) and the soft sphere model of the discrete element model (DEM) were separately applied in this study to simulate a two/three-dimensional laboratory-scale bubbling fluidized bed with uniformly distributed gas inlet. The TFM was combined with κ-ε gas turbulent model while the DEM was combined with κ-ε gas turbulent model or the Smagorinsky sub-grid scale turbulent model (SGS). Compared to experimental results and numerical simulation results provided by others, the present study shows that both the TFM and the DEM soft-sphere model can predict the characteristic flow structures of bubbling fluidized bed, and the DEM-soft sphere model does a better job than the TFM. Different turbulent models have negligible on the predicted results, But the three dimensional model does show better results than the two-dimensional one, which is much closer to the experimental data.
