摘要
本文从结构数据模型和语义数据模型的特点和关系出发,引出面向对象的数据模型(OODM)的基本概念,重点讨论了由Abiteboul和Hull提出的IFO模型,对该模型在GIS空间数据库设计中的应用进行了初步探讨,最后指出了OODM的具体实现途径。
From the characteristics of structure data models and semantic data models, and the relation between them, this paper draws the basic concepts in object-oriented data models (OODM). The specific object-oriented data model IFO, introduced by Ahiteboul and Hull, is mainly discussed. The application of IFO to the design of spatial databases in geographic information systems is preliminarily studied. Finally, this paper condludes by discussing the ways in whitch OODM is implemented.
