A method for moving target detection by an active camera is proposed. Background compensation and feature block selection techniques are presented so as to compensate the motion of static background caused by the moving camera. In order to obtain satisfactory difference picture, the improved adaptive threshold technique(IATST) is proposed. Moreover, the improved clustering algorithm is applied to remove various noises.Experimental results are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the method.
