摘要
分形、分维技术是一种研究复杂对象的良好工具,已引起了人们的重视。但由于一些人对这个新的数学工具的实质认识得不够清楚,出现了一些偏向,例如有的人想用它来解决过去复杂油层开发过程中的微观现象(即非均质性问题)、有的人用分线数来找油、找气以及预测裂缝发育带,甚至用分形提高地震勘探的分辨率?笔者认为,对上述这些问题应该重新加以考核,注意不要夸大其解决问题的能力。一个分形集是由其自身性质决定的,并非任何复杂对象都具有分形性质,不了解这一点,就会陷入误区。
Fractal and fractal-dimension techniques are good tools for researching intocomplicated problems. People have paid more attention to them. But some peoplemisuse them because they have no enough understanding of the new mathematicaltools. For example,somebody uses them to cope with a micro-phenomenon(inhomo-geneous problem)in developing a complicated hydrocarbon reservoir;and some peo-ple use fractal dimension to find hydrocarbon accumulation and to predict densefracture zone. They even use fractal technique to irnprove seismic resolution. I thinkthat we should reconsider these problems in order to avoid improper use of the tech-niques- A fractal set depends on the characteristic of an analysed object. Not anycomplicated object has fractal character. Without understanding this point, peoplewill fall into trouble.
