摘要
回顾了世界苹果属植物形态分类的历史和成就，简述了国内外学者对该属植物种类和分类的评价，介绍了该属植物分类进入实验阶段的进展，最后对新的分类系统提出了简明的分类方案。
After review the history of the taxonomical research of genus Malus Mill.,mainly classified by plantmorphological characters and the research on the taxonomy of genus Malus Mill. by Chemitaxonomy,Enzym-taxonomy,Chromosometaxonomy and Pollen analysis,the author expressed his critical view on the past taxo-nomical system,and proposed his systematical scheme. The author believed that the quantity of the speciesof genus Malus should be reduced and incorporated, the Malus species is very polymorphous by its nature andthe species represent a complicated system of ecotyps and forms and varieties;
