An analysis is made of the stress distribution and the deformationpattern near the apex of an incompressible rubber wedge under thetension of a concentrated force. The asymptotic method for the tipstress field is developed. The problem is treated as a plane straincase. Finally, the FEM numerical results agree with the theoreticalones.
