Existing problems in the annular cooler at the No.1 General Ironmaking Plant of Masteel and the necessity of overall optimization reformation are presented. The idea and actual approach in the project are discussed in detail. New concepts in the project, especially the successful application of water sealing technology, and the good results achieved, are stated.
