摘要
美国和泰国在亚洲冷战形成的过程中逐步结为安全同盟,导致中泰关系处于隔绝状态。国际形势自1953年起趋向缓和,中、泰两国希望改善双方关系。亚非会议为中、泰进行直接接触和了解提供了难得的机会,并在亚洲营造出缓和的氛围。中泰关系在会后出现缓和,致使美泰关系出现摩擦。中泰缓和结束后,美泰关系重新得到巩固。
While aligning with the United States during emerging of Cold War in Asia,the Thais avoided contacts with PRC.However,influenced by the atmosphere of détente in the world since 1953,Thailand and PRC both hoped to better the relationship.Asian-African Conference not only provided the rare occasion for this two countries to contact directly and understand each other,but also created a circumstance of détente in Asia,which contributed to promoting their relationship from outside.Afterwards,PRC and Thailand became friendly in certain degree and the friction between U.S.and Thailand increased.With the breakoff of Sino-Thai association,the harmony in U.S.-Thai relations restored.
