摘要
中国现代大学从最早的北洋大学堂开始起就是按照国际标准建立的。然而,中国高等教育国际化发展之路却远非平坦,这与中国各个时期的政治命运和国家政策息息相关。新时期中国的改革开放和世界经济的全球化为中国高等教育重履国际化发展之路带来难得的机遇。过去30多年中,国家一系列有关政策大力推动了中国大学国际化的进程。今后,中国新一轮的发展对高等教育的需要将会促生新的国家政策为中国大学的进一步国际化铺平道路。
Modern Chinese higher education represented by the earliest Peiyang University（now Tianjin University） modeled after American style is an example of education across borders.Over the past hundred years,the internationalization progress of higher education in China has been rather rugged as it has been closely linked with the political changes of China and has never escaped the direction of national policies.The opening and reform of China in the new era together with the economic globalization reopened the path of internationalization for Chinese universities.China has put forth a series of policies in the past 30 years that have greatly facilitated the progress of internationalization of higher education.The demand of further national development for consistent support from higher education will help the formation of policies that will further push Chinese universities in the direction of internationalization.
