Photometric Determination of Cerium Coexistent with Some Other Rare Earth Elements in Silver Alloys

摘要 深入地研究了以Ag^+为催化剂,用(NH_4)_2S_2O_8氧化铈的光度法,提出以HNO_3—H_2SO_4作新的介质体系,解决了硫酸银沉淀严重干扰反应的难题,拟定的方法适于银基合金中有某些稀土元素共存时测定微量铈,相对误差±5%,样品加标准的回收率94~108%。 Detailed investigation has been carried out for the photometric determination of cerium by oxidation with( NH4 )2S2O3 using Ag as catalyst. The reaction is seriously interfered by silver sulfate precipitate.and this difficult problem can be solved using a new medium HNO3-H2SO4. The present method is suitable for the determination of micro amounts of cerium coexistent with some other rare earth elements in silver base alloys.The recovery of standard addition to the sample is 94-108%.The relative error is +5%.
