摘要
词典是学生学习中不可或缺的工具书,而学生如使用词典是学习过程的重要组成部分。本文通过问卷调查的方式,主要了解英语专业学生使用词典的总体情况以及不同英语程度的学生最常使用的词典策略,分析了词典策略使用和学习成绩之间的关系,并根据调查结果提出了教师应如何指导学生使用词典,从而使学生在学习过程中更有效地运用词典。
Dictionaries are indispensable reference books for language learners,and the use of dictionaries is an integral part of learning progress.This paper,based on the data from a questionnaire,aims at a deeper understanding of how dictionaries are generally used by English majors,and how they differ in dictionary strategy use in terms of their language proficiency.It also analyzes how dictionary strategy use is related to language proficiency.The findings from the study offer some suggestions as to the training of dictionary use,with a view to enabling learners to use dictionaries more effectively.
