摘要
为获得高质量输出光纤激光器,利用单模掺铒光子晶体光纤替代传统普通光纤作为谐振腔的增益介质,两个匹配的窄带光纤布拉格光栅作为波长选择元件,形成一个简单的线性腔结构,实现一台新型全光纤窄线宽掺铒光子晶体光纤激光器.该激光器线宽仅有55 pm,激发波长具有大于50 dB的边模抑制比.在激光二极管泵浦下,该激光器在波长1 550.22 nm处获得8 mW的最大输出功率和3.2%的斜率效率.通过在10 min,内每隔1 min对激光器的输出波长重复扫描,表明室温下激光器的输出波长稳定.在12 min内,其输出平均功率的最大扰动少于0.07 dB.
In order to obtain fiber laser with high-quality output,a kind of newsingle mode Erbium-doped photoniccrystal fiber(PCF) was used to take the place of conventional fiber and was employed as gain medium in the reso-nant cavity.The PCF along with two matched narrowband fiber Bragg gratings used as selective wavelength compo-nents formed a simple linear cavity construction.Thus a novel all-fiber narrow linewidth Erbium-doped PCF laserwas demonstrated experimentally,which had only55 pm linewidth and side-mode suppression ratio of better than 50dB.Under the pump of laser diode,the proposed PCF laser obtains a maximal output power of 8 mW at1 550.22nm and a slope efficiency of3.2%.Repeated scannings of output wavelength of the proposed PCF laser per minutewithin 10 min indicate that the lasing wavelength is rather stable at room temperature.The average output power ofthe proposed PCF laser shows a maximal fluctuation less than 0.07 dB within 12 min.
