摘要
本文探讨新自由主义作为主流意识形态对美国社会和高等教育造成的危害。经济达尔文主义信徒在国内国外发起了两场战争,一场是反社会福利的战争,一场是反高等教育的战争,前者是为了让有钱有势者彻底控制社会财富和收入,后者则是通过文化机制占领意识形态阵地。两者相互协作旨在把社会问题的价值观贬低为政治思想的荒原。未来的希望寄托在不满现状的年轻人身上。
This paper explores the negative impact of neoliberalism as main stream ideology on American society and its higher education.The advocates of economic Darwinism launched two wars at home and abroad,one is the war on social state for the complete control of wealth and income,the other is the war against higher education for ideology control by means of cultural apparatuses.The cooperation of the two helps to relegate the value of the social question to the wasteland political thought.Hope lies in the young people who reject the terrors of the present and the modernist dreams of progress at any cost.
