摘要
基于元认知理论和互动式阅读理论,采用问卷调查和阅读测试,考察和分析了非英语专业大学生在英语阅读理解方面的元认知知识储备和元认知策略的使用情况;深入研究了元认知能力与英语阅读水平和英语语言水平之间的相关性,从而更加明确地指导高校英语阅读教学.提出高校英语阅读课堂教学改革应把元认知能力作为培养和提高学生英语技能必不可少的重要组成部分,使学生成为独立自主的、高效的外语学习者.
Metacognition,as a major focus of research in education and psychology,is a significant factor for students in academic success.The paper attempts to explore the metacognitive ability of non-English majors in English reading comprehension,as well as the correlation among metacognition,English proficiency and English reading comprehension,in an effort to emphasize the importance of facilitation of metacognition and to call for more efforts to increase learners′ metacognitive awareness in English reading so as to help students to become independent,efficient and successful language readers.
