摘要
英语和汉语中的动词名用过程体现了人类基本的转喻思维特征。概念转喻理论不仅为动转名提供了认知理据,而且是诠释这一词类转换过程的重要认知机制。基于概念转喻视域对英汉动转名现象进行对比分析研究,有助于更好地揭示该语言现象产生的认知理据,为进一步开展词类转换研究和探究人类语言与思维之间的关系提供了新的认知视角。
English and Chinese verb-to-noun conversion reflect human being＇s metonymic mode of thinking.Conceptual metonymy theory not only serves as the cognitive motivation of verb-to-noun shift,but is also critical to understanding of this conversion process.This comparative analysis contributes to the revelation of cognitive motivation of verb-to-noun conversion,and provides a new perspective of studying conversion and exploring the connections between language structure and human cognition.
