摘要
《普通语言学教程》自问世以来,语言符号的任意性理论就引发了中外语言学家的论争,至今未形成定论。要正确认识此理论,必须基于索绪尔的出发点和立足点,要看到此理论包括绝对任意性和相对任意性两个方面,在论争之时,要避免三个误区。
The theory on arbitrariness of linguistic symbols in Course in general linguistics has achieved great influence among linguists since its publication,and the debates on it are on.We need to figure out Saussure＇s theory＇s starting points and foundations to get a better understanding it.There are differences between absolute arbitrariness and relative arbitrariness,and they could lead to three misunderstandings in discussions.
