摘要
惠特曼的现实主义倾向突出地体现在记录南北战争史的战争诗中,体现了其对战争态度的嬗变。生命运动的瞬间捕捉、战地医院的图景式展现、梦境的再现是其战争诗现实主义倾向的着力点。通过对现实的观察和顿悟,惠特曼摒弃了对战争单纯鼓动的态度,转而思考战争的残酷性、代价和后果,最后用战争梦魇对人类前景发出启示录式的警告。
Whitman＇s realistic tendency is particular War. In comparison with the previous research into ly hi displayed in his war poems, which depict the history of American Civil s war poems, which is primarily concerned with themes and charaeteris- tics, this paper aims to examine his change of attitude towards war from a new perspective, i.e., Whitman＇ s realistic turn His tendency of realism in war poems can be found in his description of momentary life movements, pictorial presentations of battle field hospitals and reproductions of towards war, i.e., pure advocacy of war, dreams. His and start to epiphany gained from studying the reality led him to reject his attitude consider the ruthlessness, price and outcome of wars. Eventually, the nightmares about war in his works serve as apocalyptic warnings about human prospect .
