摘要
形容词+名词搭配是英语学习者最早习得且广泛应用的搭配类型。本文从《中国学生英语口笔语语料库》(SWECL2.0)一至四年级英语专业学生限时议论文中提取形容词+名词的显著搭配进行分析,旨在发现学习者的形容词+名词搭配能力的发展模式及其形成原因。结果显示,英语专业学生的产出性形容词+名词搭配能力并没有呈直线上升模式;随着学习者对于低频词使用的增加,非典型性搭配也在逐渐增加。本文提出应在英语教学中自始至终重视提高词语搭配能力,应在大学阶段教学中注重帮助学生把接受性词汇搭配能力向产出性搭配能力转化。
The Adjective+Noun collocation is one of the most frequently used English collocation patterns that L2 learners of English learn at the very beginning. By analyzing the salient Adjective+Noun collocations subtracted from the Spoken and Written English Corpus of Chinese Learners (SWECCL 2.0) where the written corpus consists of the argumentative essays written within limited time period by English majors from grade one to grade four, this study indicates that the collocational competence of ADJ+Noun does not increase with the improvement of the overall language proficiency and vocabulary knowledge. The author proposed that teachers should pay due attention to collocations from the very beginning of learning of English till the end of the formal instruction.
