A 400 000-year Paleoclimate Reconstruction in Tropical Region of China

摘要 在中国南方和热带亚洲265个现代孢粉数据的基础上,采用类比法对雷州半岛的第四纪孢粉分析数据进行了孢粉气候的定量转换,获得近40万年来的年均温度和年降雨量古气候曲线.这些结果为第四纪海陆古气候对比、热带地区冰期间冰期的气候演变等研究提供了新的依据.温度变化的4个降温期分别与深海同位素阶段10、8、6和4~2可以对比.冰期与间冰期之间的年均温度变化幅度约为±5℃,末次盛冰期达到5~8℃.而年降雨量的变化较小,除末次冰期有短暂的干旱期外,降雨量一般均高于1500mm. The periodic changes that characterized the Late Quaternary were recorded in tropical China. A preliminary study on quantitative climatic reconstruction over the last 400 000 years was carried out based on 265 modern pollen samples collected in China and Southeast Asia. The quantitative temperature and rainfall estimates improve the correlation between marine and land records and help to better understand the climatic changes during glacial-interglacial episodes and the evolution of southeast Asian monsoon climate. Four principal stages of dropping in temperature were recognized, which could be correlated with SPECMAP oxygen isotopic stages (OIS) 10, 8, 6 and 4~2. Nevertheless, many δ 18 O substages into which the marine record was divided were inappropriate for comparing our temperature curve.The temperature changes between glacial and interglacial were generally within ±5 ℃.The temperature was 5~8 ℃ lower during the last glacial maximum, but with high frequent fluctuations. Unlike the temperature estimates, only two falls in rainfall were recognized, the first in OIS 8 and the second in OIS 4~2. It is important to point out that during most of the late Pleistocene the annual rainfall was higher than nowadays (1300~1600 mm). Persistence of high precipitation over multiple glacial-interglacial cycles from OIS 10 to 5 might be the main cause that resulted in many mountain rain forest elements surviving until the last glacial maximum.
