摘要
美国医学传教士嘉约翰是近代西方医学传入中国的领军人物,他在广州建成了中国最早的专业医疗建筑:博济医院建筑群和广州惠爱癫狂医院,形成了中国社会从未有过的新型医疗空间。医院建筑始终会反映医学知识、宗教信仰和其所处时代的生活方式,由医学传教士带来的医学建筑带有鲜明的基督教特色。
John Kerr（1825～1901）,American Medical Missionary,played an important role in Western Medical transplanting to China.He established the first medical buildings in China-Canton Hospital and Canton Insane Hospital,which were new medical healing spaces in traditional Chinese society.Hospital buildings reflected medical knowledge,religious and living styles of that time.Medical Missionary constructed Hospitals in Christianity way.
