The whole destruction processes of large quantities of discarded ammunitions in Nanjing City were introduced.The discarded ammunitions were discriminated and classified,their destruction method was confirmed,and the field used for destruction was inspected.The cautious notices of loading and carrying discarded ammunitions were put forward.Important technology parameters of destruction scheme were calculated and checked such as safety of blasting vibration and safety distance of fragments and shockwave.Through careful design and management,the destruction operation succeeded completely,which can provide beneficial experience to destruct discarded ammunitions.
