摘要
中国音乐的国际化是一个漫长的过程,国际化的重要标志就是在西方语言库中建立中国音乐的词语概念。这个概念需要从中国文化的源头严格界定它的内涵和外延。意译的做法可以达到翻译上"雅"的效果,但往往不能够还原中国音乐概念本身的真实内涵,音译的做法往往是通往"信"的有效桥梁,通过建立中国音乐的英语词语库,树立中国音乐真实的概念,传播中国音乐。
Some Chinese music terms are deeply rooted in the unique culture environment, which makes the right translation of English very difficult because of the absence of such concepts in the English world. Translating the Chinese music terms is a way to convey the Chinese music concepts, which requires careful analysis of the English terms chosen. In most cases, transliteration and transcription are the two desirable approaches to establish the concepts of Chinese music in the English world.
