摘要
：２１ 世纪将是“海洋的世纪”，海洋将成为下世纪国际竞争和开发的重点领域。海洋地理信息系统可大大提高海洋数据的使用率和工作效率，并改善海洋数据的管理方式。海洋地理信息系统在海洋研究领域所起的重要作用，日益受到人们的重视。在分析了海洋地理信息系统的研究背景后，总结了国内外学者在此领域的研究状况。
The ocean will be very important in the 21th century and will become one focal field which human will contest for and develop in next century.Using rate and management way of marine data and people's work efficiency can be greatly improved by using Marine Geographic Information Systems(MGIS).Its important effect is increasingly valued by people.In this paper,the authors analyze MGIS' study background,then,summarize its study advance in MGIS field and give a simple assessment to MGIS' perspective.
