摘要
企业简介是企业对外宣传的窗口,对树立企业形象起着重要的作用。但是,中国民营企业的英文简介往往照搬直译其中文简介,无法起到很好的宣传作用。相比美国企业简介,它们的语步结构形式较为固定,语气较为正式、刻板和生硬,在人称系统的使用上频繁使用企业名称使读者产生疏远感。为了更好地实现交际目的,中国民营企业应根据美国企业简介的语类特点直接撰写英文简介。
Corporate profiles are the window of a corporation,which play an important role in building up the corporation's positive image.The corporate profiles of Chinese private enterprises(CCPs) are often literal translations of their Chinese versions,thus fail to promote the enterprises effectively.Compared with American corporate profiles(ACPs),their move structures are more fixed,mood more formal,rigid and stiff,and they frequently use corporate names instead of personal pronouns,which alienate the readers.To better realize their communicative purposes,Chinese private enterprises are advised to write English corporate profiles based on genre characteristics of ACPs.
