摘要
《荀子·成相篇》与《荀子》其他篇章有三大不合之处:一、《成相篇》提及春申君之死(前238),但《荀子》其他各篇所记历史事件大致起于齐匡章伐燕(前314),而终于邯郸解围(前257),且对这近60年间的重大战役以及政治事件大多都有记录,对自邯郸解围至春申君死近20年间的历史则只字未提;二、荀子激烈抨击禅让说,而《成相篇》却积极称许禅让说;三、荀子激烈批判墨学,而《成相篇》却极其赞许兼爱说。这三大矛盾可证《成相篇》可能并非荀子所作。结合上世纪70年代出土的睡虎地秦简"成相"赋资料,可以推测《成相篇》应该是荀卿弟子所作。
There are three significant inconsistencies in the content of Chapter Chenxiang and other chapters of Xunzi.Firstly,except of Chapter Chenxiang,other chapters of Xunzi record the historical events approximately starting from 314 B.C.when Qi Kuangzhang invading Yan to 257 B.C.,the end of battle of Handan.In these chapters,Xunzi depicts detailedly or concisely the political events or battles during this period of time,whereas Chapter Chenxiang just mentions the death of Sir Chunshen(238 B.C) but the 20 years history before it is never mentioned.Secondly,Chapter Chenxiang advocates Shanrang whereas it is known that Xunzi is firmly against it.Thirdly,Xunzi criticizes Moxue whereas Chapter Chenxiang gives it positive comments.Therefore,we can conclude that the author of Chapter Chenxiang may not be Xunzi as these inconsistencies exist and from the context,we conjecture that the real authors are the disciples of Xunzi.
