According to Dr. Ma Qingyun, Chairman of Diabetes Hong Kong, studies showed that 20% of the diabetics had the disease diagnosed before the age of 40, and 10% of the patients died from diabetes syndromes, among which the most common severe ones were end-stage renal disease and coronary heart disease, etc.
