应用于LCD控制器帧缓冲器中图像映射编码算法的研究

摘要 随着液晶显示系统在手持设备和嵌入式系统中的广泛应用,功耗已经成为液晶显示控制器设计的重要指标。针对液晶显示控制器数据处理量大的特点,基于传统的LZ77算法提出了一种新型的数据编码算法,即图像映射编码法。试验表明,它可以有效地减少液晶显示控制器对于帧缓冲器的访问,从而降低系统整体功耗。 Since the liquid crystal display(LCD) system was widely used in portable devices and embedded systems,power consumption has become an important factor of the performance of LCD controller.Aiming at the great load of data processing of LCD controller,we proposed an original data encoding algorithm,image map encoding algorithm,which is based on the traditional LZ77 algorithm.It has been verified that it can reduce the frequency of the access from LCD controller to frame buffer,thus decreasing the power of the whole system effectively.
